Why Do You Need A Professional Home Cleaning Service?

Introduction

Whether you’re a stay-at-home parent who wants to spend more time with your kids or a working professional who feels like they can’t get everything done during the week, hiring a professional house cleaning service is the perfect solution. Even if your allergies or asthma are acting up because of all of the dust and grime that builds up in your home over time, it’s still possible to clean it yourself. If you’re looking for something quick and easy, though, hiring a professional cleaning service might be right for you!

You are busy

You’re busy. You have a family to take care of, a full-time job, and other commitments that keep you away from home. But cleaning your home can’t be put on the back burner. It’s an important part of life, and if it’s neglected for too long, it will become harder to manage. A professional cleaning service can help you keep up with the demands of your life without adding more stress or taking up extra time.

Not only do they do the heavy lifting for you when it comes to keeping your house clean and tidy throughout all seasons – but they also provide other benefits:

You want to spend your free time doing other things

A professional cleaning service can also help you to have more free time. You don’t have to spend all your free time cleaning, so you can spend some time with your family and friends or pursue a hobby. If there is something that you are passionate about and want to spend more time doing, then hiring a cleaning service is the best way for you to achieve this goal.

Your allergies or asthma could be acting up because of all of the dust and grime you leave behind.

Allergies and asthma are common causes of coughing, sneezing, and other symptoms. Dust and dirt in your home can make you more likely to develop allergies or asthma. If you want to avoid getting sick, it’s essential to keep your house clean. The professionals at [company name] know how hard it is to clean your house yourself, so they offer their services as a way to help their customers stay healthy while also making their lives easier.

A professional house cleaner will use eco-friendly products that won’t harm you, your family, or your pets

  • Eco-friendly products are better for the environment.
  • Eco-friendly products don’t contain chemicals that can be harmful to you, your family, or your pets.
  • Eco-friendly products don’t leave a residue on surfaces that can be difficult to clean up later.
A professional service will ensure that someone is checking for spots you might have missed.

The truth is even the most thorough cleaning job can leave a few spots behind. Professional cleaners are trained to see things that you might have missed, and they’ll be able to use their tools to get into every nook and cranny of your home that you couldn’t reach on your own. Just because you scrubbed hard doesn’t mean that all the dirt particles are gone!

Aside from being able to find those tiny little specks of dust no matter how well they’re hidden, professional cleaners also have access to equipment that makes it easier for them (and less painful for you) when it comes time to deep clean heavy-traffic areas like carpeting and upholstery. If there’s an area in your home where you don’t want or need anyone else using their hands, rest assured: professional cleaners know exactly where these places are.

No more shopping for cleaning supplies or lugging them around your home.

Buying and lugging cleaning supplies around your home is something you can do without. That’s where we come in! We’ll show up with everything necessary to clean your house and get it back to looking like new. You won’t have to spend time shopping for them or hauling them around town.

You can spend that extra time however you’d like—reading, watching a film or TV show, or even spending time outside doing yard work or gardening.

A professional cleaning service can help keep your home clean and healthy for you and your family. Professional cleaners are trained and certified in the use of eco-friendly products, which means that they will not harm your pets or children.

Professional cleaners will get into all the nooks and crannies that you cannot reach with a vacuum cleaner. They will also clean top to bottom, so there is no need to worry about leaving surfaces unfinished after they have left. You can feel confident in knowing that they did an excellent job when they leave your home!

Conclusion

The bottom line is that professional cleaners are better at cleaning than you are. They have access to the best products and equipment, they know how to use them properly, and they understand the importance of keeping your home safe from allergens. When it comes down to it, hiring a professional cleaner can make your life easier and healthier.

Top 6 Tasks To Check Off Your Fall Cleaning List

Top 6 Tasks To Check Off Your Fall Cleaning List:

Top 6 Tasks To Check Off Your Fall Cleaning List:

The weather is changing, leaves are turning color, and the air is cooling off. It’s hard not to think about cleaning your home when it’s the time of year when most of us start to feel a little cozier. At Clarkston Cleaning Services, we’ve come up with six tasks for your Fall Cleaning Checklist:

  1. Clean and organize garage/shed
  2. Clean and store outdoor furniture
  3. Service and store gardening equipment
  4. Clean gutters and downspouts
  5. Install and clean storm windows and doors
  6. Sweep and inspect chimneys and fireplaces

Clean and organize garage/shed

Fall is a great time to clean out your garage and/or shed for storage purposes! Start by clearing out anything that you don’t or won’t use again. It’s easier to clean if you take everything out first rather than trying to clean around stored items. When you have everything out, sweep the floors and wipe down the walls. Another reason it is helpful to empty everything out is to reorganize based on what items you use most frequently. You can also store things according to what season is coming up next.

Clean and store outdoor furniture

Now that you have a clean garage and/or shed, it’s time to give your outdoor furniture a little TLC before storing it until Spring. While some people enjoy sunshine and warm weather all year round, residents in Michigan know that’s just not the case. This means it’s a great idea to start this project sooner than later before the temperatures drop. Pick a dry, sunny day, get your pressure washer out, and get to work!

Service and store gardening equipment

Once your summer garden starts to vanish, so should your lawn and gardening equipment. Now is the time to give each tool a good cleaning and make any needed repairs. All equipment should be winterized properly so that when Spring rolls around, you won’t have to worry about fixing the lawn mower, weed trimmer, etc., before cutting the grass. (Trust us, you’ll be glad to have this done ahead of time!)

Clean gutters and downspouts

Autumn leaves are beautiful—until they cause issues with your gutters and downspouts. Did you know that clogged gutters can cause moisture and mildew problems on soffits, which can result in rotting wood and roof leaks? Not an ideal scenario for homeowners! Make sure to keep gutters and downspouts clear of debris to avoid repairs. Take note; you might need to plan on doing this a few times during the fall, depending on how many trees surround your house.

Remove window screens and install storm windows

Storm windows and doors help insulate your home and make it more energy-efficient during cold weather. If your home has storm windows and doors, make sure to get these installed while the weather is still bearable! Also, remember to clean your screens and window air conditioners before you store them away. While you’re winterizing windows, now is a great time to wash the glass! Start with the outside of the windows first. Pro tip: wash the windows AFTER cleaning your gutters and downspouts to avoid unwanted debris.

Sweep and inspect chimneys and fireplaces

There’s nothing quite like sitting by a warm fireplace once the Fall weather starts to set it. Make sure you are prepared by inspecting your chimney and fireplace yearly. A chimney sweep will help protect your home from accidental fires caused by soot and creosote build-up. If you didn’t clean your interior fireplace at the end of last winter, now is the time! Gas logs and fireplaces should also be inspected and cleaned so that they are safe and ready for use on those cozy nights at home!

In Summary

We hope you found this Fall clean-up article helpful! We understand that the change of seasons can always present new home maintenance tasks, and for some, it can feel overwhelming! With that said, it’s important to know that you cannot complete them all at once. Although completing the items on a fall cleaning list will help keep your home stay in good condition all year long, this may not be possible to achieve when starting a new task while others need to be tended to. If you are interested in spending more time enjoying the Fall festivities that you love, reach out to us to discuss a home cleaning plan! We’d be thrilled to take some cleaning tasks off your plate.

How to clean your fireplace

Man cleaning fire place with shop vacuum, how to clean a fireplace

How to clean your fireplace

Introduction

It’s important to keep your fireplace clean. Not only does it make your home more inviting, but it can also help prevent a fire. If you want to know what tools to use and how to clean your fireplace successfully, keep reading!

Get the right tools.

To get the best results, you’ll want to use a vacuum cleaner with a crevice tool. You’ll also want to have on hand a wire brush, dustpan, and damp cloth for cleaning glass.

Remove the grates and logs.

  • With the logs removed and a vacuum or dustpan in hand, you’ll want to start by removing the bulk of ashes, dust, and soot and disposing of it in a trash bag. Once that’s done, you can now move on to the grates.
  • Get rid of the old ashes and other debris stuck in your fireplace grate using a small wire brush (an old toothbrush will also work if you don’t have a wire brush). Start using water with the wire brush to scrub away all those pesky particles! If you find it difficult to remove with water, use a cleaner or mild dish soap. Just make sure it’s not something that will ruin the material of the grates.

Vacuum the interior of your fireplace and flue.

Once you’ve removed the logs, grates, and ashes, it’s time to clean out your fireplace and flue. Vacuum the interior of your fireplace with a brush attachment, and use a crevice tool to clean out any crevices in the ash pit. If you have a shop vacuum that can be used outside, you can also use it to remove any loose debris from between bricks or on top of your chimney cap.

Remove stubborn soot.

If your fireplace is dirty, there are a few ways to get rid of it. If the soot is not too difficult to remove, you may be able to do so with a vacuum cleaner. However, if the soot has been building up for some time and is particularly stubborn, you may need something a little more powerful—like steel wool or a wire brush. Some people prefer high-pressure steam cleaners for this purpose; others prefer to use cleaning products and a little elbow grease. Whichever method you use will depend on how old or new your fireplace is and what type of stone it’s made from (granite requires a different treatment than marble). Always make sure to research your cleaning methods based on what kind of fireplace you have. You don’t want to damage any of your surfaces!

Polish metal and glass surfaces.

Next, polish the metal and glass surfaces of your fireplace. Metal polish can be found in the cleaning section at most large grocery stores or hardware stores. A glass cleaner will also do the trick, but be sure not to use paper towels or abrasive cleaners on these surfaces—they’ll scratch and dull them over time.

Bring back the sparkle to the hearth.

Use a polishing cloth on all surfaces, including the hearth and firebox. Be sure to remove any loose paint chips, which can cause the surface to dull over time. If your fireplace has become discolored from soot or ash, use a soft-bristled brush with water and a household cleaner to scrub away grime and restore luster. A damp cloth will also help remove dust from areas that are less accessible than others, like corners and crevices where dust tends to gather more quickly as it settles onto flat surfaces. Finally, if there’s still some stubborn dirt on your fireplace after using these cleaning methods above (or if you’ve got some hard-to-reach spots), vacuum those off using a vacuum cleaner with an attachment designed for cleaning upholstery or carpets—it’ll do wonders.

Conclusion

We hope you found these tips helpful for cleaning your fireplace. If you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to contact us at (248) 620-9410, we are always happy to help our customers with their cleaning needs.
